This relatively small surcharge would be included in your monthly bill for the first 5 years of the project only. With the temporary surcharge included, estimated residential energy rates* currently show that natural gas could save a typical heating customer as much as 36% to 67% in annual energy costs depending on the customer’s current energy source (fuel oil, propane, electricity).
