Grant-Funded Equipment
Income-Qualified Grants & No-Cost Equipment
Manufacturer rebates are great for saving on high-efficiency equipment, but did you know you might qualify for a program that covers the entire cost of a new furnace and installation? If you are a low-to-moderate-income homeowner, explore these local resources:
Emergency Furnace Replacement (HERR)
If your current heating system is unsafe or not working, the NYS HEAP HERR program provides up to $8,000 for a new furnace or boiler.

Natural Gas Conversion & Weatherization
The St. Lawrence County CDP offers “Fuel Switching” grants. They can manage the audit, the installation of a new natural gas furnace, and home sealing at no cost to eligible residents.

North Country HOME Consortium
For homeowners planning larger renovations, federal HOME funds are available for major systems upgrades, including high-efficiency natural gas heating.
